\\\\ NATE ALLMAN
Grab some friends, get on the road, and pop in Nate Allman’s CDs, Dream for Free (2007), Africa, and Hwy 40 Sessions (2006), or Loose Pockets (2004). His songs will make you want to sing along in the sun. With influences like Ben Harper, Shane Barnard, James Taylor, and David Wilcox, Allman’s music is destined to have a laid back quality to it. This Texas native has been a professional musician for the past four years, and plans to make it his permanent job/passion.
Allman writes music “because I want to help make a difference in peoples’ lives and music is what I do well.” For this reason, his songs have a special purpose to him, as his time is spent volunteering, performing for high school age kids. These performances have helped him develop his act, as he says, “If you can entertain high school kids, you can entertain anyone.”
Nate Allman’s performances are so crowd-pleasing they have earned him great opening gigs. He has buffered the performances of national artists, Braddigan, Matt Wertz, Jonah Werner, and Shane Barnard. He has also been playing a regular schedule of 5-10 shows a month at local venues. His live performances are especially fortified with personality, and interaction. Because every crowd is different, no show is ever the same.
Allman hopes to be signed to a label in the near future, and acquire national radio-play. In addition, he would also like to run a music label to sign artists that have some of the career goals similar to his.
